Blood Like Ink Chapter 1

A dark midnight's sky held incredible stars for the earth to look upon. The sky mixed with black and dark violet purple into a beautiful shade. The stars were an off-white cream color and beneath the stars near a small building a girl that looked 16, with beautiful long brown chest nut that reached the bottom of her back that was tied in a kinda sloppy ponytail with a long lock of hair stringing in front of her river blue eyes. Her beautiful face was clean from taking a bath out in the river (luckily no one saw her) She was wearing a torn up gray sweatshirt that had a ripped off hood with some baggy blue jeans that were ripped at the knees and 5 other places. She had graffiti black converses. This girl's name would be Ashley. By the small house, Ashley saw a girl with hair that some locks would end at her chin and then it would go up to the middle of her scalp, it looked quite gorgeous on her face. She had golden and crimson eyes, mixed in so they looked quite lovely. She had her eyes down and she was looking through her copper rectangle glasses to the concrete, paying attention to her shoes which were also converses. But they were lime green and midnight black. She was wearing tight black jeans and a mid-rift shirt that had black and red plaid on it and a loose black jacket was covering that, her arms were crossed so it was hard to see the design of the shirt. But Ashley angled her face so she could see. The girl seemed to have a belly button ring with a skull on it and Ashley blinked and shuttered slightly from the pain it might have caused to get. Ashley blinked and then muttered "hello." The girl didn't respond. Ashley tried to make small talk "I-...uh....like...your...shirt...no wait...I like your...belly ring...no wait..." she didn't want to sound like a lesbian pervert. She smacked her forehead and the girl smirked "shut up before you idiot" she said in a soft but harsh tone. Ashley shrugged "I'm not all that idiotic, just...mainly" The girl smirked again "what...you insult yourself for fun? Oh wow that's smart" she rolled her eyes, once opened. Ashley offered a hand "well, sorry, I'm Ashley" she said with a warm smile. The girl kept the straight face she had put on, her extremely pale skin shook with Ashley's kinda tan skin.  Ashley blinked and then jerked her hand back once the two hands touched "your hand is so cold!" she screamed. The girl took her hand in her other hand and looked at Ashley with those golden and crimson eyes in confusion, then she understood what she meant "oh...well...uh I've been standing out here too long" she muttered. "I'm Angela...nice to meet you Ashley" she muttered, not meaning any of it, she wished she would just go away. Then a girl with dark brown (almost black) hair that was straight to the bottom of her neck came up out of the shadows and leaned on Angela. She had on a black jacket as well, blue jeans that looked identical to Ashley's and a tight and small shirt that had blood on it. She looked over to Ashley and then scowled, her amber eyes staring and glaring at Ashley. "Who's this?" the girl muttered to Angela "that's Ashley, she's really annoying" she muttered back. Ashley crossed her arms "hey! I heard that!" Angela smirked "of course you did, you should, because maybe now you'll leave us alone" Angela teased. Then the girl punched Angela in the arm "cut it out, your being mean" The girl muttered "oh and when are you NOT mean?" she asked as they both started off and squirmed off each other. Then they started to fight before a young man came out of the shadows with chin length thin wispy black hair and amber eyes with a slim body with hands in his pocket appeared "enough...don't fight here...don't fight anywhere...silly thing to fight about really" he muttered in his angelic tone. Ashley blinked at him when he would look to her and smile. Ashley blushed and smiled back. "H-hi...uh...I'm..." she had forgotten her name. How lame was that? She sighed "Angela...do...do you...remember what my name was?" she asked quietly as they all laughed. Angela then whispered to Ashley "It's Ashley, dufus" They all laughed again as Ashley blushed and then walked away "alright bye" she muttered as the young man appeared in front of Ashley, she blinked and stepped back. "How did you do that?!" She screamed as the man clamped her mouth shut "shhh!" he hissed "don't worry about that" he let go of her mouth "don't leave, we weren't laughing at you..." he said softly as he smiled again. Ashley blushed pink as the man bit his lip, her blood was warm, tempting. The 2 girls were sneaking up behind Ashley to attack her, the girl who she didn't know yet leaped for her and the young man caught her "stop! Not now!" he hissed at her as she squirmed away from him "...sorry" she muttered. The man turned back to Ashley "I'm Cedric, nice to meet you Ashley" he said trying to make her forget everything. Angela was behind them calming the other girl down. "And that girl over there is Raven" he said rolling his eyes. 2 other men came out of the shadows, one with short, black hair with emerald green eyes, the other with ice blue eyes and dark brown hair that was down to his neck. They were dressed identically in black. Cedric turned to them "this is Rico, and this is Eli" he said with a slight smile, they both waved as Angela and Raven slightly melted. Cedric smirked and then turned to Ashley once again. "You know, you look really beat up, would you like to come to our house and wash up and eat before you go wandering off to the other parts of the city?" he asked as Angela and Raven would talk to Rico and Eli. Just as friends. Ashley simply nodded "thank you but, I don't want to be a burden" she said modestly as she turned and tried to walk away and Cedric grabbed Ashley's hand "no, please, you look so beat up, would you?" he asked his voice in a begging tone. How could Ashley say no? "Okay, fine, sure" she shrugged. But the only reason she wouldn't want to stay with them at their house isn't because she was being modest, it was because she detected something strange about them, so strange she thought it was dangerous. But she would give it a try anyway. But something was strange about that family, very strange indeed. The moon shined over the group of people as they headed out to a large house, here, Ashley would get to know the family more...but hopefully not more than she wanted to know.
